Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting one of the regions leading PLC businesses to recruit a Group Accountant. The business is located in Sheffield, and due to the continued rapid growth across the business, a new role has opened up for a Group Accountant. This role reports to the Senior Group Accountant and works closely with the Deputy Group Financial Controller andGroup Financial Controller as part of a highly skilled and professional Group Finance team. This key role will be responsible for accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting for the Group.Group Accountant Responsibilities include:- Monthly consolidation and preparation of Group results- Half year results consolidation and interim accounts reporting- Year end results consolidation and statutory financial statements including PLC consolidated accounts and 7 trading subsidiaries (all IFRS)- Consolidating the annual budget and preparing budget reporting packs- Providing accounting support to the operating divisions- Liaising with external auditors during the annual audit process- Supporting the timely completion of tax returns and payments- Reporting the cash position of the Group through accurate daily tracking and forecasting- Ad hoc projects / analysis as requiredKey skills:- Attention to detail and quality work - Ability to work collaboratively - support the team to deliver against deadlines- Strong communication skills - Can do attitude - willingness to get things done, take on new projects and manage own workload Candidate profile:- Qualified accountant, ideally 1-2 years post qualified experience- Would suit a first-time mover from practice into industry- Ideally Big 4 / Top 10 trained- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)- Experience with group accounts and consolidations preferredThis Group Accountant role will offer the successful candidate a great stepping stone into Industry.
