Facilities Directorate Estates Grounds Maintenance Operative (Gardener) – x2 postsSalary: Band 3 – (£19,737 - £21,142) Location: Across TrustHours: 37.5 per weekPost Ref: 457-20-017-ANWe currently have a full time vacant post within the Trust’s small, in-house maintenance and grounds service. You would be working at a variety of premises throughout Sheffield, providing an excellent customer service and a high standard of grounds/gardens maintenance.The post-holder will be required to carry out duties including hedge cutting, lawn mowing, path and road sweeping, along with general grounds maintenance, and operation of the department’s range of gardening equipment.The post is based at the Trust’s Grounds/ Estates department at President Park Sheffield., but provides for a city-wide service.You must be able to work alone without direct supervision, as well as working as a team member.Ability to undertake all gardening work (heavy, manual work).Qualifications to level 2 or 3 in Horticulture, or equivalent are required. Pa1 and Pa6 is required.Basic Health and Safety knowledge and COSHH.Participate in on call gritting.You should hold a full, valid driving licence and be prepared to drive any Trust vehicles, not HGV’s.You may also be required to participate in the Trusts on-call gritting service.The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children and as part of our safe recruitment practice the successful applicant(s) will be subject to a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) if it is deemed appropriate for the role.
