Job Description

Do you want to work for an exciting game developer that’s redefining the way people play video gamesDo you want to work in a fun environment where you are able to express your creativity and passion for gamesOur clients, an award-winning Games Development Studio, are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Games Producer to join their team due to continued business growth.We are looking for a quality focused Producer who can lead by example and develop trust and respect amongst the team with the ability to direct and improve planning, development and release processes on a continuous basis to meet product vision and quality goals.You will be detail focused and expert at balancing team resources, development requirements and product goals to deliver game features and content ensuring that the right priorities are set to create clarity and focus for the team to support key objectives.Liaising closely with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams including Publishing, Platform, Tech Services, Analytics, Community Management and external partners; you’ll ensure key initiatives and dependencies are tracked, develop successful mitigating strategies to overcome challenges to delivery and execution to maximise each game release and meet long-term product roadmap goals.Working closely with the studio head you will be a motivator, lead from the front and able to guide the development teams talent to form a collaborative and unified team that establishes the highest standards and sets the tone for studio culture and values.Key Duties Include:

  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to deliver on short and long-term development and roadmap objectives in order to give the right instructions to the team. Improving the project management processes, identify problems and blockers
  • Create good working relationships, managing cross-team communication of development plans, requirements, and status to all areas of the business and external partners
  • Work with departmental directors and leads to make decisions and maintain a deep understanding of how best to balance competing priorities
  • Be the key contact of the project; communicating fluently, clearly and concisely. Be able to provide clear and complete status of the project to upper management and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate ability to convince others with strong arguments, adopt proper communication tone/style based on audience and situations;
  • Excellent Project Management skills, be able to make/update planning with accurate estimations of tasks durations and clear milestones; taking into account tasks dependencies and targets to reach;
  • Team management: Take care of the morale, motivation, working behaviour of team members in order to make them fully committed to the project as well as to comply with studio regulations; when needed, raise issues with Department Heads and HR for suitable solutions.
  • Conduct post-mortem analysis to learn from both successes and mistakes in order to improve processes and establish best practices.
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Leading a team of highly-skilled individuals by creating a collaborative environment for them to be motivated and engaged, focused on facilitative leadership as opposed to ‘command and control’ achieving amazing results for the game and themselves.
  • At least 5 years working experience in Game Industry, delivering at least 2 completed Console or PC projects as a producer.
  • Extensive and proven experience in multi platform game development multiple complex projects
  • Experience managing a team of 10+ developers (programmers, artists, animators, designers, testers)
  • Strong analytical mind with exceptional organization, communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent time and project management skills -Fluent with Agile methodology with good knowledge of project management software including Jira.
  • Avid game player with a passion for creating innovative and compelling games with good understanding of gameplay mechanics.
