Elevation Engineering & Manufacturings team have been exclusively retained to manage a recruitment campaign for our prestigious client based Sheffield.The client is a worldwide leader in design and manufacturing for the orthopedic and medical device markets, including joint reconstruction, spine, trauma, sports medicine, extremities and dental. With 14 world-class facilities located around the globe, theycontinue to provide others an opportunity to live a better life through the products, services and the way the company conducts business.Their Sheffield facility comprises a Forge, Foundry and CNC Machining and Finishing processes. It employs approximately 230 people and focuses on joint reconstruction, in particular knee and hip joints and also the instruments required to fit the medical deviceparts.They currently have a vacancy available within the NDT Department and although experience in these areas would be an advantage, they are also looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and develop a career within this industry.They are looking for individuals with experience or a desire to work in the following role:FPI OperativeWorking Hours: 39 hours per weekWeek 1: Monday to Thursday 07.00am-04.00pm / Friday: 07.00am - 12.00pmWeek 2: Monday to Friday 10.00pm - 06.00amHourly Rate: £10.50 p/h + 25% shift allowance on nightsOvertime: Paid at time andafter 39 hoursThe successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to working hours due to the possibility of shift changes in the future.Reporting to the NDT Team Leader you will be responsible for:* Operating machinery that Submerges and washes trays of components in preparation for viewing* Working with high precision, small intricate parts* Working with a high volume of components* Responsible for own workflow and hitting KPIs* Strong emphasis on quality* Viewing Components to inspect for defectsThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:* Must have experience working within a quality focused role* Must hold a Level 2 FPI Certificate* Experience of working within an inspection role* Experience of working with a high volume of components* Good communication and teamwork skillsIf you want to discuss the positions in more detail, please contact Nicola Jackson at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
