Pertemps Recruitment are proud to be working with our client based in Chapeltown, Sheffield who require a Permanent Warehouse Operator with an FLT Licence to work Monday-Friday 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm.The role isto unload and store inbound consignments, assemble customer orders for dispatch in order to meet customer requirements.To fully support the Distribution Centres Health and Safety Policy and Good Distribution Practice Policy in order to work with the management team to ensure compliance with Corporate and Statutory requirements and in providing a safe working environment throughoutthe site.Duties & Responsibilities

• To unload/load palletised stock using Forklift Trucks ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and GDP policy.
• To locate stock using the Electronic Stock Management System via RF devices in order to ensure stock is stored correctly and readily available for future use.
• To store/retrieve palletised stock from Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) racking using wire guided Turret Trucks to ensure stock is readily available to complete customers orders.
• To assemble Special Needs orders that have different packing/labelling requirements in order to ensure conformity with the relevant Work Instruction.
• To assemble orders for dispatch in accordance with delivery schedules and service Level agreements and local SOPs
• To inspect returned goods from customers and process them for return to stock or for scrapping
• In compliance with site Work Instructions and MHRA guidelines.
• To take part in KNPS & other Continual Improvement Programs.
• To perform general housekeeping duties & 5S in order that the distribution process can take place in a safe, tidy and compliant environment.
• Demonstrates required competencies for the job role on a consistent basis.
• Take part in any job related training as defined by Management.
• Demonstrates company values on a consistent basis.
• Performs other reasonable duties as requested & quality issue, such as pest control.
• Report any Health and Safety issues to Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager
• Responsible for own personal Health and Safety as well as ensuring the work area within which they and their team work is safe, and work is performed in line with Health and Safety Standards
• Complete full pre-shift inspection of all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) before use

Professional Skills & Knowledge:

• Experience of Warehouse Managements Systems and RF Systems
• Numerate and have dexterity and good co-ordination necessary to operate Fork Lift Trucks
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve set objectives
• Awareness of impact of actions on others when driving Fork Lift Trucks and using handling others
• Understand importance of compliance with Good Distribution Practice
