Finance Department - Financial Accounts Finance Section Manager (Permanent) Salary: Band 6 £31,365 to £37,890Location: FulwoodHours: 37.5 hours per week Post Ref: 457-20-069-CRThe Finance Department, operates in a diverse environment providing a wide range of Financial and Procurement services to the Trust. As a support service, the Finance Department plays a key role to help the Trust deliver and maintain high quality services whilst achieving value for money.The Financial Accounts team consist of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Residents Financial Services, Cashiering, Capital and Trust Accounts. The Finance Section Manager main duties will be the overall supervision of the transactional teams, including Control Accounts and maintenance of the Asset Register. The post holder will also proactively contribute to the development of the Financial System, including the modernisation of the Purchase to Pay process working in partnership across the Finance Department.The ideal candidate should be able to “hit the ground running”, having good understanding of NHS processes and practice and the role of Finance within the NHS, underpinned by theory and experience relevant to the role. Leadership and organisational skills are a must, to enable the delivery of high quality transactional and accounting services to tight deadlines. Excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels are essential.
