This is a key role within the business, giving the position holder oversight to the assurance activities that are entwined with the finance function, delivering risk-based audits to the business to enhance and add value where possible. Additionally, this rolewill provide excellent exposure to many facets of audit and risk alongside many aspects of the operations across the business.Role & ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:* Managing the overall plan for risk-based audits, focussing on the finance function primarily, with some exposure to compliance and operational audits* Working closely with the finance function to proactively identify risks through various means, including workshops and one-on-one collaborations with stakeholders* Developing finance assurance plan that is influenced by and based on business principal and emerging risks* Supporting the finance function with creating and implementing various risk management processes* Spearheading the development of continuous improvement initiatives across the business with the aim of improving the efficiency of the internal audit and risk management* Striving to build stable and strong working relationships with financial management* Mentoring more junior members of the team with their responsibilities to ensure the overall effectiveness of the teamWhat You Will Need To Apply:The company are seeking fully ACA or IIA qualified professionals who have at least 5 experience in a comparable risk, assurance or audit role within a Big 4 accounting firm or large corporate business. Applicants should have experience handling data drivenaudits and be knowledgeable in using data analytics. Additionally, applicants should have a strong understanding of financial risk and controls and ideally have additional experience with SOX. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are neededfor this position alongside proficiency in communicating technical concepts well. Applicants should also have good project management capabilities and have operated within a complex operating environment.What You Will Get In Return:The successful candidate in this position will be entitled to a highly competitive remuneration package, including a base salary of up to £80,000 depending on previous experience and this will accompany a good bonus potential of over 15%, a generous car allowance,a highly generous holiday allowance and pension contribution; and the option for private healthcare.
