Job Description

Job Spec:Job title:Finance ManagerWage:25,00030,000Contract Type:FTC 11 months (Maternity Cover)Hours:Fulltime37 hrsLocation: Sheffield S9Hybrid Working - 3 days at homeJob details purpose, responsibilities, deadlines & frequency:Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for the management of the Companys finances. This will involve reporting current financial data and managing cash flow. Long term financial planning and meeting financial deadlines as they occur throughthe year is essential. You will work closely with the Companys accountants and Managing Directors to achieve this.

  • Timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of monthly Management Accounts, sales and ad hoc reports, with interpretation/commentary where required
  • Management of credit control, cash-flow and bank reconciliation
  • Processing year end and working with external accountants to produce final accounts
  • Customer receipt and supplier payment recording, and weekly payment run
  • Invoice processing for monitoring jobs
  • Managing exposure to currency fluctuations and maximising potential profit through the use of forward contracts
  • Quarterly VAT reconciliation and submission
  • Processing monthly payroll, pensions and statutory submissions
  • Ensure compliance with all financial obligations and that financial systems are kept up to date
  • Working closely with bank Relationship Manager when necessary
  • Managing the company credit card account and expense claim process
  • Management of company insurance and vehicle fleet
  • Recommend and lead improvements to existing processes

Qualifications:
  • Qualified to AAT level 2 or above
  • Educated to degree level, or relevant work experience
Experience:Using accountancy software for:
  • Preparation of Company financial reports
  • Managing daily cash flow
  • Understanding and meeting Company financial deadlines for PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax
  • Experience of running payroll
