Elevation Accountancy & Finance are very pleased to be working in partnership with a key client based in the Sheffield area as they look to bring in a professional and confident, Part-Qualified Finance Business Partner to join their team; initially ona 6 month contract basis with potential to go permanent. The successful candidate will take on this exciting opportunity to support across a broad range of duties including month end accounting, year-end audit, building key relationships and ensuring the business can react quickly to new challenges.The ideal candidate will be a recent Graduate, qualified AAT or working their way towards CIMA/ACCA, with a strong understanding of management accounting and excellent communication/business partnering skills, with the confidence to liaise with individualsat varying levels. Duties of the Finance Business Partner will include (but are not limited to):* Ensure effective communication between the Finance Department and the Operations and other departments of the Company* Provide support for other members of the finance team where required* To work closely with colleagues to develop excellent working practices* To assist the Senior Business Partner in supporting/coaching junior or less experienced members of the team* Preparation of timely management accounts for multiple venues and central departments across the group* Preparation of monthly reporting packs, variance analysis, KPIs and commentary for review* Conduct monthly review meetings with venue/central department managers* Support the delivery of budgeting and forecasting requirements of the business* Preparation and posting of month end journals including accruals and prepayments* Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all anomalies are highlighted and appropriately resolved* Prepare and Review monthly payroll reconciliations and distribute to managers* Assisting in the preparation of audit file and liaising with auditors* Assisting with process improvements in the finance department and across the business to improve/standardise processes and controls across the group* Undertake other related projects or duties as required* Identify and present options to resolve business issues within a complex organisation* Set up business processes to deliver successful outcomes, assess their effectiveness and review performance measures relating to each* Identify opportunities for synergy and integration of processes and influence others to identify more efficient sustainable processesPerson Specification:* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified / part qualified or relevant finance degree.* Advanced Excel skills* Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role* Experience of preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations* Experience of using a range of finance metrics and systems to set, monitor and analyse financial performance* Proven ability to communicate strongly (written, verbal and graphics) and able to present financial information* Proven ability to be well planned and work effectively within a finance team under pressure. Prioritising to ensure results are achieved and deadlines are met* Experience of supporting/coaching junior or less experienced members of a team* Knowledge of SUN / Cognos / Proactis would be advantageous* Have a detailed understanding of double entry postings including prepayments and accruals* Good management accounting knowledge - variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, data interpretation & performance evaluationOur client is hoping to interview for this vacancy as soon as possible, therefore, if you feel that you have the relevant skills to be considered for this opportunity, please feel free to apply today.
