You will be servicing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a range of strapping machines used within various industries such as food, construction, pharma, and distribution found at the end ofthe production or packaging line. Each day, you will be visiting a range of well-known and prestigious clients. You will encounter mechanical and electrical faults, which you will be required to amend and fix. You will receive in-house manufacturers trainingon the strapping machines and all the tools for the job. This role is a multi-skilled role.The Candidate for the Field Service Engineer:The successful candidate needs to be a hardworking, motivated, hands-on engineer mechanical or electrical engineer. You will have ideally previously worked in a field service position working on mechanical or electrical equipment, however our client alsohas an affinity for ex-military engineering personnel. Your ability to be a problem solver and a can-do attitude together with a sound engineering background is vital.

Hold a formal engineering qualification such as City and Guilds or NVQ or an electrical qualification
Youll have previous field service engineering experience or have been an engineer within the armed forces
Multiskilled background; a 70% mechanical bias but electrical experience is needed.
Understanding of PLC fault finding (training can be provided)
Able to fault find and fix mechanical and electrical systems
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence

The Package for the Field Service Engineer:

£30,000 - £36,000 Basic Salary, depending on experience
£3,000 bonus + overtime opportunities + £5 daily allowance
