REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.Export Specialist LeadJob SummaryResponsible for the import/export documentation. Responsible for all transactional export/import compliance and coordination with applicable laws and regulations. Working to deadlines for ensuring all export shipping documentation is prepared to meet customerdemands.Duties and Responsibilities Implement and maintain the businesss import and export compliance programs Continuously work towards improving and streamlining the programs processes and procedures Monitor regulatory changes and related compliance as well as policy and procedure compliance Provide export control training and advice within the businesses (military / dual use items) Execute export/import control operational tasks and decisions for the Group operations Control the correct use of commodity and technology classification codes Apply for, maintain and manage relevant government export/import licenses Support investigations, internal and external audits and other compliance matters as directed Support and participate in business projects focusing on trade compliance as directed Support and collaborate with other internal and external departments across the business as directed Support and assist with the processing of customer commercial documents Coordination of all export logistics with relevant freight forwarders Optimising contracts related to freight forwarders Other duties as directedSkills, Experience & QualificationDesirable Requirements: Demonstrable experience in a Trade Compliance or International logistics work settingKnowledge of: U.K. Government Trade regulations and requirements U.S. export regulations and requirements (EARIITAR) US, UK and EU Export classification of goods US, UK and EU Import classification of goods Country of Origin DeterminationUS, UK and EU US/UK export logistics and documentation Incoterms 2020 UK Export Control Joint Unit/HMRC policies and procedures regarding export controls and licensing requirements for exports and imports Letters of Credit and Cash Against Documents Transactions CHIEF filing requirementsUK (Customs declaration) Post Brexit logistics import/export proceduresQualities & Attributes: High level of personal ethics and integrity Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Communication (verbal and written) Relationship building Problem solving Organize and multi-task Focus on detail Prioritise requests at any given notice Work independently utilising the department published tools with minimum oversight Follow instructions and department protocols Build relationships across the business
