Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for experienced support workers to work for one of our client with services located in Sheffield.Its a permanent role with immediate start.We are looking for Support Workers to work in one of our clients Residential Services in Sheffield. This site is a shared house and is home to four supported individuals. The service is within walking distance of Penistone train station and is commutable from surrounding areas via bus links but may be preferable for a driver/someone who lives locally. This is a service supporting individuals with mental health issues and/or learning difficulties and may display challenging behaviour. Responsibilities of a Support Worker:*To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment *To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and other whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality *To support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events *To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required *To work as part of a team to provide high quality care *To work all types of shifts including days/nights/bank holidays/weekendsThe successful candidate for the role will have:* NVQ in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards *Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues is desirable but not essential *The ability to keep calm under pressure *Confidence to work alone and as part of a team *Excellent communication skills *The passion to work with vulnerable Adults *The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding Due to the nature of the position, successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment, the disclosure expense will be met by the employer.Job type: permanent, full-timePay rate: £8.21/hFor more information, please contact Dominika Troska on .Cordant Group is an equal opportunities employer Required skills
