Job Description

An Expeditor is required for a growing business in Sheffield. This role will initially be for 6 months to support new procedures however this is likely to be extended and could possibly become permanent for the right candidate. The role will pay c£15 perhour.Client DetailsA sustainable business at the forefront of its industry, this organisation has operations around the World with a large office in Sheffield.DescriptionAs an Expeditor your duties will include, however will not be limited to:

  • Being the primary daily interface on component delivery between both the external supply chain and internal Operations/Procurement
  • Controlling inbound inventory up to the point of goods receipt
  • Collating, assessing and where necessary determining supplier manufacturing prioritisation in line with delivery requirements
  • Maintaining a professional, structured and organised process for the management of purchase orders and inbound materials to ensure that suppliers deliver their order book On Time, In Full (OTIF) and aligned to the master project plan/production scheduleand/or sales project requirements.
ProfileThe successful Expeditor will have:
  • Worked in a similar position within a manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent organisational skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Working knowledge of an ERP system - ESSENTIAL
  • A relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or similar - DESIRABLE
Job OfferThis is initially a temporary position for a minimum 6 months, to start as soon as possible however there is an opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate. The position is based on-site in Sheffield and will pay c15ph.
