Our client is one of the UKs leading companies in the Architectural steel sector.Due to increased workload and company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The preferred candidate would have a strong working knowledge of Steel Fabrication and Installation of Architectural Metalwork & SecondarySteelwork.Potential hybrid working DOE.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesEnsure all documentation received from clients is comprehensive enough to provide an accurate quotation.Provide accurate pricing of all schemes to clients whilst improving the overall bottom line net profit returns based on past experience and past performance of projects.Develop pricing matrixes for various products to support the high volume of estimates ensuring they are dealt with accurately and efficiently.Advice on possible cost implications/variations if design changes.Liaise with clients and colleagues regarding value engineering opportunities with live projects and projects at the tender stage.Assist in the allocation of commercial risk with managers, sending company terms and conditions with all quotationsImprove the Estimating win ratio, by reviewing all enquiries received selecting and prioritising high potential projects.Maintain service level to an existing client baseAttend client meetings and develop bid presentations where necessary.Relay all aspects in the quotation and clearly define in handover to the Contracting Team.Track cost and handle all variations from estimate to order status to ensure transparency when the Contracts Manager is applying for payment.Essential KnowledgeExperience in Steel Fabrication and Installation of Architectural Metalwork & Secondary Steelwork.Read & Interpret 2D/3D drawings accuratelyMicrosoft Packages including Excel, Word and OutlookCommercial awarenessAttributesBuilding Client RelationshipsProblem solvingNegotiatingOrganisedEnthusiasticTeam PlayerJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per yearExperience:construction: 1 year (Preferred)Estimating: 1 year (Preferred)Education:A-Level or equivalent (Preferred)Work remotely:DOE
