Job Description

Due to consistent business growth, we have a newly created new career opportunity for an ESG & Contracts Manager to join the organisationat an exciting time.Key responsibilities within this role will be the maintaining and developing Fresh ESG & energy management systems, maximising their contribution to the delivery of the companys carbon reduction and supporting the Senior Contracts Manager in maintainingutility contractsOffering flexibility, this role provides hybrid working and the need to attend site as and when required.Reporting directly to our Senior Contracts Manager, our ESG & Contracts Manager will be part of the Fresh Central Services Team, providing the framework and technical guidance to ensure consistency and efficiency in the way services are delivered acrossthe managed portfolio in the UK and Ireland.About the RoleYou are the go to expert on Environmental, Social and Governance matters across the company, providing support with energy modelling, forecasting and legislative issues.You will implement and manage the Fresh ESG energy policy, managing ESG behavioural changes and work with clients to support achieving their specific ESG energy goals, identifying opportunities to innovate and reduce carbon emissions across clients propertyportfolios.Effective management of energy resources to meet the company and client objectives, delivering energy services to c.70 sites across the UK and Ireland.Manage, measure, monitor and report on energy consumption and carbon emissions for the company and its clients. Metering and utilities management across all property assets. Manage and improve water consumption, recording, reporting, and recycling.Manage the companys waste strategy, which includes maximising recycling, appropriate disposal of hazardous materials, optimising residential free waste collections and providing a sustainable and cost-effective solution to managing waste.Achieve and maintain ISO14001 accreditation, managing the energy management system across the business. Undertake periodic audit and reporting relating to energy, waste and carbon and ensure Fresh and their clients are meeting statutory requirements forenvironmental management and reporting.Identify ESG trends and opportunities, recommend improvements and support wider energy management objectives, for example through energy procurement.About YouDegree level qualification in energy and sustainability, engineering or building services or substantial experience in relevant / related field and a Member of a relevant / related professional body e.g., CIBSE, Energy Institute.Proven significant experience in Energy Systems, Engineering or Building Services in a medium or large organisation and experience in energy efficiency and wider sustainable energy.Project management skills, with ability to manage multiple complex work-streams, clients, and budgets. Build and develop productive working relationships. Identify and minimise risk.Knowledge of low and zero carbon technologies with the ability to interpret energy data and use the findings as basis for reduction.Willing to travel to sites as required (approximately once a week).Experience of energy management, including energy procurement and compliance is desirable as is additional qualification/s in Energy Efficiency / Low Carbon, Health and Safety e.g., IOSH or similar.About UsPart of The Watkin Jones Group, Fresh Property Group is a multi-award winning, leading third-party manager of purpose-built residential accommodation.
