Position : Environmental Monitoring TechnicianLocation : Sheffield, South YorkshireSalary : £20,000 - £27,000You will require MCERTS Level 1 as a minimum to be considered for this position Summary of Duties1. Performance of emissions testing, and preparation of test reports.2. Performance and assistance in other monitoring work as appropriate.3. Preparation of quotations for environmental services, including sales visits to customers as appropriate.4. Training of new/junior technicians in performance of emissions testing techniques in accordance with company detailed operating procedures.5. Supervision of maintenance of emissions testing equipment, including organisation of calibration, repair and servicing of instruments.About You : - MCERTS Level 1 as a minimum- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 / BTEC / HNC in a relevant topic- Excellent interpersonal skills- Computer literate- Full UK driving licence- Prior experience of emissions monitoring at industrial sites would be advantageous.- Prior experience of preparing quotations for environmental services.Working time39 hours per week. Overtime is expected as and when required and will be dependent on workload. Site work can involve early starts, late finishes and additional working time to meet the requirements of the monitoring campaign. Certain jobs may require working alone on site and working away from home for short periods of time.
