Provide Education are recruiting for a skilled English teacher with additional SEND experience for a temporary, full time role to start ASAP. Your time will be split between teaching in the mainstream English department and within the school’s SEND Provision. Whilst in the SEND Provision you will be working with students with Autism and associated learning difficulties who are unable to access mainstream lessons. Our client is an 11-16 Secondary Academy within Sheffield.Successful candidates will have a passion for teaching, be able to form strong working relationships and have excellent knowledge of English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4. You will have good knowledge of planning to support pupils with additional learning needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans. You may be familiar with strategies such as TEACCH and/or SCERTS and will be able to confidently differentiate to meet a range of needs.*** You MUST have a recent DBS that is on the DBS Update Service. If you do not have one, you will be required to undertake a new one through Provide Education. ****** You MUST have recent Safeguarding Training at a minimum of Level 1.
