Job Description

Ashley Kate are delighted to be partnering with a global Professional services organisation in their search for an experienced ER Lead o join them on a permanent basis Salary is between £50k - £60k This is a new role that has been created to support the HR Manager. This will be a hybrid role but ideally you will be close to their main hubs in Sheffield or Manchester in order to spend a couple of days in the office in order to build relationships withkey stakeholders. This is a pure employee relations role and will provide advice, guidance and support to partners in respect of any ER matters. Ideally you will be able to work up to tribunal / settlement level and be able to work autonomously as this is a stand alone position.You will need to be able to manage complex cases so a corporate background in a legal environment or a proven history of working with unions would be ideal Continue to monitor the effectiveness of employment related policies, procedures and template documents, amending to reflect any legislative changes or continuous improvement. Drive Line Management capability by delivering relevant workshops/training interventions. Main duties

  • Provide advice to Line Management Teams on employment law, working arrangements, contractual matters, employee communication and consultation.
  • Provide telephone advice to the line management team on employment matters.
  • Draft template letters in relation to any informal/formal meetings relating to ER cases.
  • Attendance (byTeams at any meetings/hearings to hear and lead cases.
  • Lead of any relevant restructuring from an ER focused outlook.
  • Work in conjunction with the HR Manager to effectively hand over relevant cases ensuring a smooth and consistent service is provided.
  • Support Line Management Teams in the effective application of the grievance and disciplinary procedure.
  • Drive improved capability in ER matters by delivery of upskilling workshops.
  • Support Line Management Teams in closing out issues ensuring both legislation and company procedures are adhered too.
  • Drive improvement in HR support services, delivering a great service in a timely and effective manner.
Experience -
  • Extensive Complex UK Employee relations experience is essential.
  • Strong UK employment law knowledge is an absolute must
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and be able to challenge and guide effectively
  • Ability to work at pace.
  • Excellent communication skills.
