Job Description

You will join us as an electrician, on a full time permanent basis. Your role is all about providing a service to our customers that maintains a high and consistent standard throughout our stock. Your technical abilities must match and diversify to meet the needs of the business whatever changes happen. The more you put in, the more you get out. These roles are predominantly working on planned works installing Kitchens and Bathrooms but initially will be working on a backlog of works.Electrician Responsibilities:- Undertaking all electrical repairs and renovations identified within Acis housing stock and any other properties as instructed in both tenanted and void properties.- Ensuring that the correct materials are identified and used to complete the work at the required quality standard- Completing Electrical Installation Condition Reports, installation and minor works certificates.- Undertaking multi-skilled works as and when required.- Using and completing work details by use of a PDA handheld electronic device.- Identifying where necessary, the extent of repairs and installations required on site, with the aim to complete in one visit, reporting any problems or further action required to the office.- Being responsible for the regular timely maintenance and replenishment of vehicle material stocks.- Carrying out work activities in line with current Approved Codes of Practice and in accordance with Building - Regulations, IEE wiring Regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations 18th Edition.Electrician Requirements:- You are City & Guilds 2360 qualified or hold an equivalent qualification (or you can evidence that you are working towards this), another practical qualification or proven experience.- 18th Edition certification as a minimum standard and willing to learn new work streams. We’re all about cross-skilling our people.- You have at least 2 years’ experience working in the domestic Electrical field.- A full valid UK driving licence.Desirable skills:- You have a full NVQ level three in an electrical qualification or equivalent.- 2391 or equivalent in section and testing.- Fire alarm or emergency lighting testing experience.- 2400 or equivalent in electrical design.- You hold a gold CSCS skills card.- You hold additional qualifications in the following areas: commercial gas; oil; solid fuel; renewable energy; unvented hot water systems; water regulations; and building regulations.Being part of the Acis team:- You will be field based where your ‘home office’ is Acis House in Gainsborough or The Parkway Works in Sheffield. We might ask you to visit other sites or locations as part of your role.- We want to be here when our customers need us, so you’ll be flexible to cover shifts (over an annualised hours year) of 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday.
