A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) to work for a reputable heavy industry manufacturing business in Sheffield.The successful Maintenance Engineer will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance on heavy industry machinery.Working Hours Monday - Friday (12 hour shifts - days and nights)1 x 6 hour day shift on a Sunday (Once every 3 weeks)Salary: £44,000Benefits Package:- 23 holidays (based on 12 hour shifts)- Death in service - 6 x annual salary- Overtime at 1.5 for all extra hours worked- Attractive pension scheme- Sick pay schemeMaintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical) Duties and Responsibilities include: * Ensure all engineering breakdowns are identified and rectified as quickly as possible on machinery such as furnaces, presses and CNC machinery* Ensure all recording systems for work completion are correctly compiled with all relevant information detailed * Always enforce and practice the highest standards of Health & safety adopting company Standards and ensure that all plant and ancillary equipment is maintained to these high standards * Ensure that the detailed procedure of Shift Change / Handover of the department is carried out thoroughly and all relevant paperwork is compiled correctly with the on-coming personnel * Responsible for timely completion of all plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide TPM programs * Ensure good communication avenues are prevalent between the Engineering Teams * Work as part of a multi-functional Mechanical / Electrical on-site Team The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: * Level 3 or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering * Previous experience working in a heavy industry environmentIf you want to discuss this position in more detail, please call Kerry Hill at Elevation Recruitment Group
