Job Description

Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Fitter£34,070 + overtime at premium ratesMonday - Fridays DaysPermanentSheffieldIncreased holiday allowance (33 days) & free car parkingWe have a fantastic opportunity for a career driven and ambitious individual to join our well established global company who employs over 100,000 people in over 60 countries and are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Fitter with some Mechanical knowledge to join their team of six in Sheffield. You must have a strong background within a multi skilled electrically biased maintenance role within a manufacturing/industrial environment or similar. Working within a manufacturing environment and structured maintenance department with overtime if desired but will sometimes be essential so you must be flexible.This is a new role bringing electrical maintenance tasks in house, as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Fitter. You and your team will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all of the machines on- site are running efficiently and effectively on the production line and on site repairs of wire weaving and wire drawing machinery.
  • Maintain service and repair all plant machinery to minimise production down time.
  • You must be prepared to work on call to suit the business needs which the company offers excellent call out rates and there may also be times when the company would require you to work shifts.
  • Adhering to health and safety at all times
    • The ideal Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Fitter will have as many of the following in order to succeed in the role: Knowledge of safety circuits, Invertors, how relays operate, speed control systems A mechanical understanding would be advantageous gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, knowledge of PLCs advantageous.
