Job Description

Draughtsperson required for a drilling equipment manufacturer based in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be an experienced draughtsperson / design engineer with Solidworks. The company currently stands around 70-80 employees with one main Draughtspersonat the moment.Draughtsperson / Design Engineer - Drilling Equipment Position Overview

  • To create production stage drawings from clients drawings using SolidWorks cad system
  • Liaise with the production team to determine schemes of work for each production job
  • From client drawings create cad models that represent stages of manufacture
  • From those Cad models create drawings representing the agreed scheme of work
  • Ensure administration of drawings and information complies with the companies quality procedures
  • Create drawings for jigs and fixings
Other
  • Undertake drawing work to be used in the development of the companys own products and processes
  • Undertake this work in accordance with the requirements of the Design & Development team
  • Assist with creation of production routings
  • Acquire knowledge and understanding of current and relevant industry standards
Draughtsperson / Design Engineer - Drilling Equipment Position Requirements
  • To have undertaken the companies induction training
  • To have undertaken a formal study of a Engineering qualification at College or University
  • To have proficiency in the use of SolidWorks CAD software
Draughtsperson / Design Engineer - Drilling Equipment Position Remuneration
  • Salary ~£30k +/- £3
  • Holidays 25 + bank holidays
  • Hours 37.5hrs 8.00am - 4.30pm Mon -Thur 8.00am -2.30pm Friday ½ hr break for lunch
  • Great location, just off junction 35 of M1
  • Onsite parking
