Day-to-day tasks will include carrying out detailed keyword research, analysing data from our in-house software, and comparing client performance against identified competitors.This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic to quickly gain knowledge in new topic areas such as Search Engine Optimisation and Paid Search Marketing. They will be adept at learning new software tools, and have the initiative and drive to playan important supporting role in a company experiencing continued growth.This role will suit someone with a basic understanding of or interest in website usability, search engine optimisation, pay per click, paid social media advertising and data analysis. They will possess an analytical mind and a keen eye for detail. Full trainingis provided, although you will have a passion for independent learning and self improvement.The SEO Works is a professional organisation. We expect all staff to reflect this, therefore the person in this role should be presentable, punctual, demonstrate a friendly and trustworthy demeanour, and aspire to follow the company values.The role involves

  • Working directly with sales team colleagues in planning, managing, implementing and delivering digital marketing critiques and proposals.
  • Undertaking keyword research to display the potential of a website.
  • Troubleshooting, researching and identifying the causes of why a website isn’t ranking.
  • Running tests from the point of view of technical, content and offsite SEO issues.
  • Building proposal documents for the sales team.
Knowledge and experience
  • Improving knowledge of digital marketing.
  • Ability to critique a website in the context of competitor sites, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Google Analytics knowledge preferable
  • Google Search Console knowledge preferable
  • Good understanding of excel / Google Sheet essential
  • Experience with Google Slides preferable
  • Able to work to deadlines, prioritising and manage time across multiple projects
  • High degree of written proficiency and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confident communicator both in person or via video conferencing
  • A desire and ability to learn and continuously develop
  • Must be a UK resident or work permit holder
