We are looking for a Die and Tool Technician to join us at IFA.Your key responsibilities would be to create high quality precision tooling and dies to be used in the production of parts for high integrity markets, e.g. aerospace and defence. Using best practice and customer design instructions you set up and operatemanual milling and lathe machines. It is key that you measure and inspect the tooling before and after machining and maintain accurate documentation.The ideal candidate would be apprentice trained with experience in die or tooling manufacture. We are particularly looking for someone with experience in alteration of dies and tooling and this work is to extremely high tolerances (1000th inch). The workis conducted over a variety of machines including manual lathes, milling and radial arm drills. Experience in reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment is essential and the candidate would ideally be capable of driving a fork lift truck andoverhead crane.Benefits
