Job Description

A well knowtelecommunications organisationis looking to take on anexperienced DevOps Engineerto work on an exciting projectwhere you will be responsible for continuous integration, delivery, test automation and release.Your primary responsibility will be to support the delivery of software to all platforms alongside having a focus on improvingand automating existingreleases.As a DevOps Engineer, you will be doing the following:

  • Improve the clientstools for continuous build, automated testing and release management
  • Own, manage and improve existing release process
  • Responsible for software builds and releases
  • Responsible for the design and development of builds, scripts, installation procedures and systems including source code control and issue tracking
  • Review and support all software changes released to the live platform
Technical Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with software that automates software provisioning, configuration management and application deployment (e.g Ansible, Chef, Concourse, Docker, Puppet , YAML)
  • Fluency in modern object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, PHP, Python) as well asBash.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle)
  • An understanding of cloud and on-premise infrastructure concepts such as AWS, Azure
  • Experience in working in Agile environments to produce detailed and unambiguous design artefacts
