Job title: Data Governance Analyst - Graduate OpportunityLocation:Sheffield/ home workingSalary: Up to £30,000 per annum, plus bonus and benefitsYou will support the Data Governance Director & wider Data Management team including Risk and Compliance, with monitoring compliance of the Companys Data Management Policy and Standards, preparing materials to support the escalation and resolution of anyissues identified through monitoring, and acting as data governance partner into product areas.Main Duties:rnYou will maintain a current understanding of Companys Data Management Policy and Standards, and Data Governance strategy, maintain a current understanding of how the Policy and Standards apply tocompany functions and technology landscape as it developsover time, and support the Data Governance Director with the development of bank-wide Data Governance processes.Supporting with the development of data governance training materials, you will track the assignment of data ownership and stewardship to data domains and elements, and support the Data Governance Director in maintaining the Data Ownership model reflectingon-going changes to business functions, roles and responsibilities.You will maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of Equity / Debt products and relevant data, build an awareness of formal data management, governance frameworks and Data Management Tools and assist the Data Governance Manager in an on-going programmeof education and positive engagement within all functional areas.The role is suited to a graduate, with a relevant degree, covering data analytics, or someone with experience.You will understand Data Management Principles and their practical application, understand financial products, specifically Equity and Debt, and have experience in monitoring compliance and performance via metrics and producing reports.Experience of working in a similar Data Governance role within financial services, using metadata management tools such as Collibra and experience with GDPR or similar data regulations would be beneficial but not essential.
