Role: Customs and Freight AdministratorSalary: £24,000 - £30,000Location: SheffieldType: PermanentOverview2Fawcett are recruiting for a Customs and Freight Administrator to join a company located in Sheffield on a permanent basis. You will be working in a team and this role will support the purchasing and supply chain teams with administrative tasks includingensuring all new customs paperwork is managed effectively.The Role & Responsibilities of the Customs and Freight Administrator- Receiving, sorting and checking both import and export customs documents to ensure they meet compliance guidelines- Identifying shortfalls and resolution of these with customers and suppliers- Liaison with other business units and external service providers such as hauliers, drivers and clearance agents- Co-ordination of freight and customs activities- Creation of customs and delivery documentation, booking of services and co-ordination of activities between all relevant parties- Liaising with business units, customers and suppliers to handle any queries that are raised- Inputting, checking and filing of data within our customs compliance system- Proactively ensuring all Customs procedures are adhered too, ensuring the efficient movement of goods to the final destination- Running and upkeep of reports on a weekly/monthly basis- Problem solving and helping to manage custom processes- Reporting any errors and ensuring they are resolved- Communication with HMRC where necessary to ensure issues are reported and resolved to a satisfactory conclusionRequirements of Customs and Freight Administrator - Have a great work ethic- Enjoy working as part of a team- Strong written and oral communication skills- Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail- Competent and assured phone mannerWhat will you get in return - An excellent working environment- Strong renumerationTypePermanentWorking HoursMonday - Friday
