Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide a support service to Financial Advisers and end clients, delivering an industry leading level of customer service and continuously finding ways to help the Financial Advisers achieve and manage their clients portfolios and the business to achieve their strategy and objectives.Only candidates from a Financial Services background will be considered.Key Responsibilities;

  • Take ownership of fulfilling various tasks, which include:
  • Taking inbound calls from Financial Advisers to assist with general queries
  • Making customer payments including processing withdrawals, regular payments and cash movements
  • Maintaining customer accounts and records
  • Keying client changes in our back office systems
  • Supporting the onboarding of new clients
  • Support clients and advisers with the use of the online platform, assisting them how to navigate around the tools and online facilities available to them
  • Demonstrate awareness of team measures and support how these are used to understand the customer journey
  • Develop effective working relationships across teams to deliver a cohesive and professional customer service
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet collective business goals showing flexibility to support the needs of the business
  • Own all requests/enquiries from end to end, minimising hand-offs and delivering a personal service
  • All transactions and enquiries are processed accurately and in a timely manner within agreed timescales
  • Undertake project and ad hoc tasks where required
  • Risk Management;
  • Ensure business area risk responsibilities are understood and take ownership of those risks in accordance with the risk handling procedure and escalate where necessary
  • Understand the risk types, key risks and control framework in your business area
  • Must understand the key regulatory and legal requirements the platform must adhere to
  • All work is completed using agreed team procedures and processes
  • Regulatory and Statutory Responsibilities;
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the regulations and responsibilities for tax products offered, such as HMRC, FCA and the Pensions Regulator
  • Retain a strong working knowledge of the controls in place to prevent regulatory breaches. If a breach does occur these must be reported immediately and offer assistance in any corrective or preventative actions required
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills Required;
  • Tax wrappers (including ISAs, pension, offshore and onshore bonds) and how tax affects clients portfolios and their personal tax affairs
  • Telephony/call centre experience for telephony role
  • Client Money rules and controls
  • Portfolio and cash management
  • Personal Knowledge and Skills Required;
  • Proactive approach to work and changes within the workplace
  • High level of professionalism is expected at all times. Excellent verbal and numeracy skills are essential, as is being able to communicate in a confident, professional and sincere manner
  • Demonstrate extremely high levels of personal integrity to maintain client trust
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required
  • Financial services experience, preferably in WRAP, or asset/wealth management sector
