Job Description

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps EngineerLocations: UK Wide (Hybrid: Agile, dependant on end client requirements)Are you ready to train as a GCP DevOps Engineer and kick-start an incredible new career We are currently recruiting professionals with experience in either infrastructure, networking or sysadmin to cross-train as GCP DevOps Engineers for placement at our client, a digital consulting firm solving client transformation challenges and utilisingthe disruptive power of technology to help digitally enable their clients businesses.The OpportunityOver 12 weeks, well provide you with the initial training youll need to get you up to speed with the Google Cloud Platform, and support you to gain your industry certifications as a GCP DevOps Engineer. Well then place you with our client, to give youthat all-important work experience that will help you stand out in the job market.Plus, as part of our commitment to creating incredible talent as a Google training provider, well provide you with a tailored learning and development plan and a personal career development coach, to help you become the best at what you do.Once youre trained and certified, youll work as a Revolent GCP DevOps Engineer within our client. Your role could include:

  • Driving the automation of multiple parts of infrastructure and deployment systems
  • Designing and developing infrastructure interfaces for business applications.
  • Contributing ideas for improvements in DevOps practices
  • Consulting on matters relating to the design and implementation of the solution, participating in discussions around risk mitigation, trade-offs and best practices.
  • Providing support as a technical resource and subject matter expert during the full software development life cycle from conception, design, implementation and testing to documentation and delivery
  • Translating client business requirements into a technical design, plus defining technical tasks and estimates required to implement
Candidate RequirementsWere looking for professionals with solid experience in either infrastructure, networking or sysadmin interested in cross-training in GCP, on a two-year program that includes paid training, certifications, and work placement. Our client is a global partnerfor Google Cloud Platform (GCP), helping established organisations (predominantly within financial services) become digitally-enabled, by fusing strategy, consulting and customer experience with agile engineering and problem solving creativity.To apply for this program, youll need to have experience in one or more of the following:
  • Either infrastructure engineering, system admin, or network engineering
  • Basic scripting in OOP languages (ideally Python - would also consider Java, JavaScript, Groovy)
  • Linux Infrastructure
  • Either infrastructure engineering, system admin, or network engineering
Youll also need to be an excellent communicator and problem solver, and a continual learner dedicated to learning your new skillset.To apply for this program, you will also need to be:
  • Willing to commit to a minimum of two years working with Revolent, post training.
  • Living within a commutable distance to a major UK city to accommodate client needs as this role be a hybrid of remote and office-based working.
  • Able to travel as required by the client (you will be fully reimbursed).
  • Available to start training on 1st December 2022
