Job Description

Job Role: Crane DriverLocation: SheffieldShift: Three Shift Pattern - Days, Afters and Nights. Rotating weekly. 37.5hrs.Salary: Salary of £12.31phMetalis are working in partnership with a busy Manufacturing business in Sheffield, who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Crane Driver on a permanent basis, joining their busy Machine Shop Department.Job Duties:

  • Slinging/crane driving
  • Manoeuvring components
  • Producing component specific lift plans
  • Transportation of components and tooling throughout the Machine Shop areas
  • General housekeeping
  • Operating Fork Lift trucks and Cherry Pickers
  • Removal of swarf from the machines
  • Keeping the machine shop in a clean and safe condition
Candidates Must Have:
  • It is essential that you have a minimum of 12 months experience of Crane driving (tele-motive operation).
  • Slinging experience
  • It is desirable that you will have experience of operating a Counter balance Fork Lift Truck (3 ton) as well as Cherry Picker and Scissor Lift access equipment (training can be provided in these areas
  • Previous experience in a heavy engineering or similar environment (minimum of 3 years)
  • Previous experience transporting large components in a safe manner
Salary & Shifts:
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, three shift pattern: Days, Afters and Nights
  • £12.31ph
