Operations, Services and Technology combines global expertise andtechnology to help keep us ahead of the competition.We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as aControls Manager, Technology Control, Wholesale,working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.Role PurposeThe Chief Control Office (CCO) plays a significant role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. This is achieved by providing operational risk and control expertise, conductinghigh quality reviews of the banks control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management.We are currently seeking a bold and experienced Control Manager to join the Wholesale IT CCO Tech team. This role will support the Global Head of Controls Technology Wholesale and MSS across all aspects of CCO Wholesale IT.In this role, you will:

• Support the delivery of the Wholesale CCO risk and control agenda
• Engage and partner with stakeholders, across all three LOD
• Support preparation of Wholesale level governance meeting materials
• Advise and challenge inefficient and ineffective process or excessive control design
• Advise and design process and controls in a commercially viable, practical and effective manner
• Design and drive improvements to risk and control information metrics
• Promote and advise risk and control decision-making base on quality data analytics
• Support Wholesale senior management on risk and control messages, promote risk and control mind set, culture and behaviour

RequirementsTo be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience in a risk/audit or control related role is a must;
• SME for controls advising on IT general controls to key areas of the business (Wholesale technology, Logistics, Retail) is a must;
• Understanding of technology overseeing the IT risk and governance processes, providing audit and regulatory compliance support and promoting the appropriate risk culture.
• Experience in Corporate/ Commercial Banking is preferable;
• Previous experience of identifying, defining and solving problems that impact on your work or the wider business;
• Strong communication skills to influence and challenge stakeholders;
• A good understanding of the products used in this business area;
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
• Ability to present complex issues expertly and concisely to senior partners using non-technical language;
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills;
• Flexible and adaptable, able to handle and prioritizes competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
