Job Description

Position Contracts ManagerLocation South YorkshireSalary £90,000 + packageCompany description:One of our Main Contracting clients are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their ever-growing build department working on large industrial/logistics Projects throughout South Yorkshire and North Midlands. This is looking after between 2-4projects at any given time.Full job description:

  • Provide advice to the site teams on all the key stages: foundations, drainage, super structure quality, internal fit out and final inspections.
  • Liaise with the contractors and suppliers to discuss the site demands and requirements to aid the site teams in achieving targets.
  • Assist in programme planning to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the planned works, without delays.
  • Monitor programmes on a weekly basis acting where plots are behind programme.
  • Ensure site teams are fully compliant with commercial procedures to ensure no delays are experienced.
  • By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with procedures and legal obligations.
Skills & qualifications needed:
  • Experience working within a main contracting, industrial/logistics (ideally)
  • Proven working experience in construction management (essential)
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Excellent time and project management skills
