Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are looking for an ambitious, autonomous, forward-thinking Continuous Improvement leader to join a leading manufacturer in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Reporting directly into the head of CI/business improvement, this key hire for the business will be responsible for driving performance improvements across the whole sites manufacturing processes, removing non-value added activities and being a leader of change. This role is the perfect opportunity for a driven continuous improvement/lean leader looking for the autonomy to further develop their career in a role combining hands on projects and the development of a lean culture from the ground up. The Continuous Improvement Leaders duties and responsibilities will include:- Drive line optimisation, timings, bottleneck studies, and maintain/improve current procedures- Lead and drive a continuous improvement culture and develop this internally- Manage a portfolio of projects utilising tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standardised working, problem solving, and TPM to drive business KPIs- Improve efficiency through analysis and planning of work flow, space requirements and equipment layout- Leading and mentoring the existing workforce, to create a continuous improvement ethos- Propose and plan Kaizen Events alongside other team CI activities- Ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety / Quality site requirementsWe are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:- Proven experience identifying and implementing CI initiatives - Project management experience within manufacturing (process improvement activities)- Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma techniques and the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping or other lean manufacturing methodologies (SS Green Belt desirable) - Track record of delivering sustainable CI Projects, small to large scale- An ability to teach/coach lean methodologies across the site & team Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
