REED Engineering are working with a long established Engineering Company with a reputable client base.CNC Machinist (Time Served or Apprentice Trained to NVQ Level 3 or C&G etc48 hours / week - Monday to Thursday - PERMANENT NIGHTS - 4 DAYS A WEEKJob SummaryMachine forgings and bar sawn blanks to drawing using both manual and CNC lathes.Key Objectives H&SWork in a safe and responsible manner. Conduct pre-shift checks Maintain a high standard of workplace housekeeping Ensure ALL Quality procedures and processes are followed. Machine parts to drawing. Use measuring equipment (Micrometers, Vernier, Wall Surface Roughness gauge).Essential Machining to tolerance +/-0.1mm occasionally on parts up to 900mm diameter Manual Turning Experience would be advantageous but not essential CNC Turning Experience ESSENTIAL Ability to programme Fanuc CNC Controls Good communication skills Flexibility Experience with machining Forgings Attention to detailKnowledge Apprentice trained Forklift LicenseAdvantage Overhead Crane/Lifting CertificationAdvantagePersonal Qualities Team player Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline.
