Starting at £15.92 per hour, increasing to £16.76 after training is completed.Full time - 3 shift rotational - mornings, afternoons and nights.Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA), one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers, are currently seeking a CNC Machinist.You will be responsible for safely operating machines in accordance with best practice and in line with customer’s instructions. When possible, you will work on two machines in tandem, inspecting and checking machined components and ensuring production ofquality machined parts.More about you:We would like you to be apprentice trained with the ability to both set and operate Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and Vertical borers in addition to setting tools, using off sets and editing programs. You will be comfortable working with a variety of aerospaceand general engineering alloys, using measuring equipment and will be able to read basic engineering drawings.Overhead pendant crane and slinging experience would be beneficial but is by no means essential.More about IFA:We manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector.We are unique due to the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location.Why work for us
