Job Description

Staff365 are activley seeking a CNC crush grinding operative for our client based in sheffield.Due to continued growth they are keen to meet with candidates who have a relevant background and who are keen to join an expanding business.This in an exciting opportunity for the right individual and there is an immediate start available.Key responsibilities and duties are, but not limited to:

  • Set and operate the CNC flatbed laser cutting machine & the crush grinder
  • Able to run a knife and surface grinder.
  • Load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
  • Capable of carrying out all day-to-day functions required to keep laser machine & crush grinder operating at maximum efficiency
  • Following instruction from works orders and drawings
  • Perform quality checks during the stages of production and highlighting any discrepancies
  • Meeting customer deadlines by achieving daily targets according to the production schedule
  • Recording tasks completed on the appropriate clocking system including any non-productive hours
  • Perform production tasks required within the allocated time allowed to complete the job
  • Operate machinery safely and in accordance with work instructions
  • Assist with the maintenance of machinery and report any issues or hazards
  • Identify and report unsafe operations to management immediately
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety
  • Maintain a clean working area
  • Contribute to waste management programs
  • Reporting on stock levels as required
  • Any other duties, as may be appropriate, to achieve the objectives of the job and to assist in the fulfilment of the Companys objectives, commensurate with your salary grade, abilities and aptitudes.
Hours of work: Day shift 8:30 - 5pm Mon - Friday.
