Job Description

Job Title: Clerical OfficerTrust: Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation TrustLocation: Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Glossop Rd, Broomhall, Sheffield, S10 2JFPay Rates: £11.45 per hourShift Patterns: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)Youll support our patients and clinical staff, such as surgeons, GPs andnurses. Youll work in areas such as: hospital wards, specialist departments or clinics, including cancer centres or accident and emergency units. Clerical Officers are paramount tokeeping the NHS running successfully. They make sure our patients have the information they need for their care and our healthcare professionals can access crucial patient records.Youll find solutions to everyday problems, such as:

  • Provide the highest standard of administrative service to support the overall efficiency and development of the Directorate.
  • Filing of medical information into notes or other data systems
  • Dealing with incoming calls and communicating clinic status, re-cancellations or reductions.
  • Retrieving patient notes from the Medical Records office, Secretary Office, Clinic Areas, X-Ray Department, and other Departments, other Hospitals on a daily/weekly basis using a trolley to transport notes.
What youll need:
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Good communicator wo can follow instructions
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Previous administrative experience
  • NHS System Knowledge- Lorenzo (desirable)
