Elevation Engineering & Manufacturings team have been exclusively retained to manage a recruitment campaign for our prestigious client based Sheffield.The client is a worldwide leader in design and manufacturing for the orthopedic and medical device markets, including joint reconstruction, spine, trauma, sports medicine, extremities and dental. With 14 world-class facilities located around the globe, theycontinue to provide others an opportunity to live a better life through the products, services and the way the company conducts business.Their Sheffield facility based off the Sheffield Parkway comprises a Forge, Foundry and CNC Machining and Finishing processes. It employs approximately 230 people and focuses on joint reconstruction, in particular knee and hip joints and also the instrumentsrequired to fit the medical device parts.They currently have a vacancy available within the Shelling Department and although experience in these areas would be an advantage, they are also looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and develop a career within this industry.They are looking for individuals with experience or a desire to work in the following role:Shelling OperativeWorking Hours: 37.5 hours per weekWeek 1: Monday to Friday 06.00am-02.00pmWeek 2:Monday to Friday 02.00pm - 10.00pmWeek 3:Monday to Friday 10.00pm - 06.00amHourly Rate: £10.50 p/h + 17% shift allowanceOvertime: Paid at time andafter 37.5 hoursReporting to the Shell Team Leader you will be responsible for:*Dipping & degreasing wax moulds*Loading onto robotic machinery, programming and operating (training provided, but previous robotic experience would be of an advantage)*Unloading components from robotic machinery*Grinding off excess shell*Loading furnacesThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:* Must have experience using handheld tools* Be able to interpret and follow route cards* Experience of working within a manufacturing* Experience of working at a fast pace* Great communication and teamwork skillsIf you want to discuss the positions in more detail, please contact Nicola Jackson at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
