Job Description

C# .NET Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer £30,000 to £45,000 (depending on experience) + generous pension provisionBased SheffieldThe RoleThe C# .NET Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer will be a key member of the Development Team, involved in all stages of the software lifecycle and contributing to the specification, design, implementation, testing and support of a wide range of technical projects. Main duties of the C# .NET Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer include:

  • Developing small and large scale C# applications (mostly WPF, some UWP)
  • Designing and implementing GUIs
  • Writing underlying class objects and libraries for data acquisition, interfaces to external systems and data manipulation
  • Maintaining and supporting the current code base

A flexible approach to working and being comfortable with multitasking is expected.The CandidateThe ideal candidate for the role of C# .NET Software Developer / Engineer / Programmer will have:
  • A strong programming background with at least 2 years of commercial experience
  • Experience developing desktop applications using either WPF or UWP
  • Experience of using the .NET Framework
  • Familiarity with the Visual Studio programming environment
  • An enthusiasm to expand their skills and capabilities
    • An application would be further supported by degree level (or higher) education in a scientific, mathematical or engineering discipline, experience of C / C++, MFC, Linux and mobile platform development.The job attracts a highly competitive salary and generous pension provision.
