Job Description

Business Development Manager (B2B Media) | Sheffield | Full-Time | £35,000- £45,000 per annum depending on experience plus realistic OTE of £50,000-£60,000+Our client is the UKs largest regional business media company outside London, reaching over 500,000 business leaders every month and growing daily.They have been established for over 30 years and have grown from their roots in the North West to have offices across the whole of the UK.The company specialises in regional b2b magazines, hosts business events annually and has a growing portfolio of digital products including virtual events, regional websites and daily email newsletters.You will be a talented and motivated business development manager with the drive, desire & experience to become part of this growing business and enjoy the benefits of its continued success. This role would suit someone who is looking for a new challengeas the South Yorkshire region is one with plenty of potential to grow.What can you expect in return

Are you the right person for the job
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record already (ideally at least 3-4 years) and be able to demonstrate they have previously increased revenue and their client base
  • Previous experience of working in advertising/ business media is advantageous but not essential as training is given. More importance will be given to the range of relevant experience and past success
  • Your CV should indicate you have been working with senior-level clients and have had sales training to equip you with the necessary sales techniques and skills in order to win orders
  • Strong motivation and drive to succeed to maximum potential are essential
  • A natural curiosity to hunt for new business opportunities with both new and regular clients
  • Persuasive personality with a hard-headed approachsomebody who is not easily defeated
  • Works well under pressure to hit regular deadlines
  • Attention to detail - good organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and also be a team player when required
  • Ideally you will have used a CRM system before and be used to accurately complete sales documentation and keep systems updated
What will your role as a Business Development Manager look like
  • To keep abreast of all company products and services and have an in-depth knowledge of them in order to market and sell effectively
  • Develop a defined South Yorkshire territory with a mix of existing clients, and grow the territory with the acquisition of new clients
  • Increase revenues and achieve sales growth by hitting targets and objectives. Achieved by increasing income from existing clients and securing support from new clients through strong consultative sales skills
  • Develop our range of products and services and maximise the opportunity to take new products to market when they are launched
  • To take the initiative and be proactive in coming forward with innovative new sales ideas
