Job title: Business Architect Location:SheffieldSalary: Up to £50,000 per annum, + 30 days holiday, flexible working hours or location, pension (employer contribution 15%), life assurance, performance related bonusThis position provides real opportunities to actively participate in the development of the Business Architecture Practice and introduce best practice across the bank. It would suit a Business Architect, or a Principal/Senior Business Analyst looking for theirnext step into the Business Architecture field.You will lead, build, manage and enhance business capability models along maturity / optimization framework to drive enablement of the longer-term roadmap, presents recommendations and solutions clearly and concisely and is able to focus on key points to portraythe intended message or purpose, advocate and drive adoption of best practices to ensure standardization of business architecture outputs across the enterprise.Main Duties: Working with stakeholders to understand the business, its strategic drivers, the internal and external environment to allow the informed development and validation of business initiatives Ensuring alignment between discrete business areas; projects and the overarching business objectives. Developing tailored artefacts for your customers, to enable informed decision making, meeting the needs of all stakeholders. Shared understanding is valued over prescribed documentation. Developing models to enable analysis of the business, the identification and articulation of business challenges and opportunities and the exploration of design options and their impact. Lead, build, manage and enhance business capability models along maturity / optimization framework to drive enablement of the longer-term roadmap. Accountable for managing the business relationship across a number of specific LOB, Uses innovative thinking to develop new solutions, particularly when resolving ambiguous problems Engages stakeholders to take action; Serves as a source of expert advice, influences change; frames information in a broader organizational context.Knowledge and experience: Demonstrable experience of developing business architecture models such as Target Operating Model; Capability Model, Business Motivational Model; Business Model Canvas Development of transformation roadmap plans. The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture. Experience of modelling business processes using recognised methodologies. Making strategic recommendations at Senior Leadership level Influencing Director level stakeholders in complex organisations. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complexity in a simple way with a wide range of audiences. Application of big picture/holistic thinkingQualifications:Essential:A professional qualification in Business Architecture or a willingness to achieve one.Desirable:MBATOGAF Certified or equivalentCBAP/BCS BA Diploma or equivalent
