Location: Sheffield / Hybrid homeworkingContract: PermanentHours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum max depending on experienceBenefits package:

THE ROLEOur Hub Team have a unique opportunity available for a relationship driven individual who is interested in making a real impact in helping small businesses receive the financial support they need.The Hub work directly with the Start Up Loans programme, which is focused on promoting growth within the UK economy through supporting individuals to start their own businesses. Led by a Delivery Manager, you will work with small business owners at all stagesof Start Up Loans Applications - from those not yet trading through to those up to two years trading - providing business support and assessing loan applications.In this unique position, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing your own case load of Start Up Applicants. You will have initial communication as well as ongoing engagement, supporting Applicants through the application process and providingpractical guidance and support in order to enable them to reach a full loan assessment.You will conduct preliminary reviews of new applications to determine eligibility, readiness and support requirements, as well as support Applicants in preparing their business documentation in order to give them the best chance of meeting the schemes assessmentcriteria. You will provide ongoing business support to Applicants on a 1:1 or group basis, using a range of formats (e.g. phone, online, Skype, email etc.) helping Applicants understand, create, and refine core business documents, including business plans,cash flow forecasts and personal survival budgets. You will also deliver ongoing mentoring support to Loan Recipients to help them make decisions about how to sustain and grow their business.As part of your role, you will be responsible for loan assessments including conducting due diligence on each Applicant, making recommendations as to whether and why the Applicant should receive a Start Up Loan. Working closely with the schemes LendingTeam to agree an outcome for all Applications, you will communicate outcomes to Applicants, and submit relevant documentation for approved applications.To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working in a targeted and fast paced customer service environment using a range of communication tools; phone, email, online, face-to-face. You will be a natural peoples person, with prior experienceof managing relationships. Ideally you will have knowledge of the business support landscape and clear understanding of the challenges facing small business owners as well as knowledge of current regulatory requirements.You will have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, communication skills both written and verbal, attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards.
