Job Description

THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a client from the Building industry for a Branch Sales Assistant to join their growing team. My client are looking for an individual who has the drive to be part of this growth. We need someone who can adapt quickly to change and has a positive attitude and is used to working in a fast-paced environment.THE JOB:

  • In this role you will be required to generate and coordinate sales through the office via telephone and face to face communication.
  • Working on the Sales Counter, the main purpose of your role will involve proactively maximising sales and margin, whilst developing and maintaining good customer relations within your branch.
  • You will need to build relationships with customers to help achieve growth for your branch.
  • You will also be expected to replenish the stock within the shop and also carry out roles within the yard, including serving and loading customers and taking receipt of deliveries
  • First Point of Contact - Face to Face Customer Service.
  • Meeting and greeting customers into branch and at the trade counter.
  • Assisting with face to face, telephone and email enquiries.
  • Providing customers with information such as stock availability, products, pricing and lead times.
  • Working with the Sales Development Manager to open new trade accounts.
  • Driving - Delivering Products to Customers - Flatbed Pick Up Truck.
  • Loading, delivering and unloading goods at customer sites within the local area.
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained and kept clean.
  • Checking and recording delivery paperwork.
  • Warehousing - Pick and Prepare Orders, Checking Stock, Goods-in and Despatch.
  • Unloading deliveries into the Branch Warehouse.
  • Stock management with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Completing system transactions for dispatch of stock, goods in, receiving and stock locations.
    • THE PERSON:
  • A self-motivated, customer service orientated individual with a track record of building relationships with customers.
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and have the drive to succeed in a fast-paced Sales environment.
  • Excellent telephone manner and be confident in providing an excellent customer service.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills will help you as you deal with customers, helping them in the Yard
  • Loading and unloading lorries as well as serving on the Trade Counter.
  • Drive and desire to learn additional skills and eventually become multi-skilled within all roles at the branch.
  • Experience of working in a merchant environment or similar, along with a valid forklift licence would be beneficial.
    • Skills / Requirements.
  • Awareness and Understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Excellent Time-Management.
  • Able to use own Initiative.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Customer Service Experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Building Materials is advantageous.
