Job Description

Job Title: MRI RadiographerEmployment Type: Long Term PlacementsGrade: Band 6Trust: Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS TrustWould you like to be part of a team whose mission is to provide personal and compassionate care every time Are you highly motivated and committed with excellent attention to detail and strong communication If so, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust are currently looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic, and dedicated radiographer to join their team and we encourage candidates to apply today!The post holder will be able to provide an excellent standard of radiographic imaging and quality of patient care whilst maintaining a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients including when under a variety of pressures. Excellent written and oralcommunication with both patients and colleagues is essential alongside the ability to work as part of a team. In addition to this, the post holder must be comfortable working autonomously using initiative, but also knowing when to seek assistance and guidance- the post holder must be able to manage their own workload.Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide a high quality, responsive diagnostic radiographic service as part of a multi-disciplinary team, whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care.
  • To ensure that safe practice is carried out in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Practically to carry out MRI examinations accurately, safely, and efficiently.
  • To have a basic level of skill & knowledge, in relevant aspects of Radiography encountered in MRI scanning acting as a role model for more junior Radiographers and develop their skills.
  • To maintain positive professional links with other medical and non-medical staff and promote good service and standards within MRI.
  • To deputise for the Superintendent in their absence and liaise with the same to ensure there is always continuity and communication within the speciality.
The Successful Candidate Will:
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Have a BSc in Radiography
  • Have previous NHS experience
  • Specialist knowledge and experience as appropriate to grade
  • Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude and approach at all times
