Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Demand Planner to join a friendly and supportive team with a well-established international luxury ladieswear brand. Full time position, based in their Sheffield Head Office.As the Assistant Demand Planner, you will provide support to the Product Manager to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of products. Part of your responsibility will be to compile and interpret sales analysis and use data to inform and shape future collectionsalong with building range plans in line with strategic initiatives. With the ability to work cross functionally, this role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of the brand portfolio, optimising potential and managing risk at all times.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Planning

  • Run regular reports to assist decision making including sales, stock and inventory
  • General upkeep and maintenance of products within systems.
  • Manage the implementation of the business calendar and ensure all key meeting dates are diarised across functions, and all stakeholders have visibility of decision-making timelines.
  • Management of salesman samples for key accounts and Sales Executives, liaising closely with the Supply team to meet deadlines for ordering and delivery for sell in.
  • Assist with preparation of Product materials that feed into Key Account Week and Sales Conference timelines.
Forecasting
  • Run sales history reporting for purchasing decisions, providing analysis with recommendations
  • Assist with maintenance and accuracy of internal systems.
  • Prepare analysis for all development and sign off meetings
  • Analyse pricing versus competition and identify gaps and opportunities
  • Support range building process
  • Seasonal planning that informs the capacity plan for factories
Purchasing
  • Forecast demand based on historic sales data and make recommendations
  • Support in the creation of the internal purchase orders, for fashion and core products on a seasonal and ongoing basis
  • Be the key point of contact for Supply Team with any purchasing queries
  • Manage the critical path to ensure workload is managed in line with key booking dates
Production & Delivery Management
  • Work with supply team to manage exceptions to the delivery schedule
  • Raise ship modes/freight proposals based on urgency
  • Perform the Seasonal split of fashion/core orders based on demand requirements
Commercial
  • Be key point of contact for internal teams i.e. Sales, Marketing and Supply.
  • Support weekly product update communication to Marketing
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hold 2-3 years experience within a similar role
  • Ability to understand customer needs and answer/deal with their issues and questions in a professional and timely manner
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships with customers and the staff
  • Possess strong communication skills to communicate at all levels in person and in writing
  • Ability to explain and present information and data - Advanced Excel skills is a must
  • Highly numerate and business savvy
  • Effectively manage your own workload, adhering to agreed priorities and deadlines
  • Capacity to analyse and interpret data effectively, with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and initiatives
  • Co-operate with changes being implemented, with the confidence to highlight and deal with any issues or raise them with the appropriate person
  • Prepared to go the extra mile to achieve targets
  • Experienced in sharing responsibility and working collaboratively to achieve the teams targets and objectives
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annumHours: 37.5hrs, between 8:00am and 5:00pmBenefits: 31 days holiday, which increases through service, 50% staff discount on all products and further benefits.
