We’re seeking an exceptionalAssistant Payments, Accounts, Collection & Enforcement (PACE) Officerto join the team.Role Overview:As a PACE Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring efficient debt recovery for our Council. Your primary focus will be onperformance management of external enforcement agentswho diligently collect outstanding Council debts, includingParking fines, Clean Air Zone charges, Council Tax, and Business Rates. Your analytical skills and Excel proficiency will play a pivotal role in assessing performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Metrics: You’ll meticulously track and analyse performance statistics for our external enforcement agents. Your insights will drive strategic decisions and enhance debt collection efficiency.
  • Issue Identification: Spotting performance-related issues is your forte. You’ll proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.
  • Excel Wizardry: Your proficiency in Excel will be put to the test! You’ll create reports, visualize data, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Debt Collection Support: Previous experience in debt collection is advantageous. You’ll provide valuable support on our enforcement phoneline, assisting clients and ensuring seamless communication.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel is a must. Pivot tables, formulas, and macros are your playground!
  • Analytical Mindset: You love dissecting data, spotting trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Debt Collection Savvy: Familiarity with debt collection processes is highly desirable.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Work closely with colleagues, enforcement agents, and clients to achieve collective success.
  • Problem-Solving Acumen: Tackle challenges head-on and propose innovative solutions.
