Elevation are excited to be working with a leading business in Sheffield as they look to appoint an Assistant Accountant into their growing team.As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for supporting the Management Accountant in the day-to-day running of the department along with month-end responsibilities.Roles and Responsibilities- Intercompany recharges- Rebates, commission calculations- Accruals / PrepaymentsCompletion of Daily Sales information- Support for both sales and purchase ledger teams.- Completion of cash movements summary- Budget holder costing review- Weekly overhead review- Bank posting.- Group format cash movements- Fixed Assets- Consignment Invoicing & Reconciliation.- VAT Returns Reconciliation- Balance Sheet Reconciliations.- Processing and review of Credit Card & ExpensesPerson Specification- Confident communicator with ability to challenge.- Previous experience working within a fast-paced accounts department.- Strong Excel skills.- Ability to build and develop relationships with other teams within the businessThis business is currently going through a significant period of change, and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience through being involved in continuous improvement projects within the finance function and wider business.
