Job Description

Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis. Duties:

  • Calculation of month end customer rebate provisions reflecting amounts owed to customers
  • Preparation and distribution of customer information
  • Accurate and timely raising of customer credit notes for rebates due
  • Reconciliation and variance analysis
  • Reviewing payments against contract documentation
  • Calculation of accruals & prepayments
  • Query resolution and administration support including liaison with internal account managers and customers.
  • Assist the finance manager in developing and improving current processes to improve efficiency
  • Daily sales reporting for management
  • Additional accounting activities and ad-hoc reporting as required by manager
Person Specification:
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy
  • Looking to study ACCA/CIMA
