Job Description

Barco Sales are on the lookout for a new Area Sales Manager to cover the M62 corridor. If you are a driven, experienced Salesperson with strong communication and IT skills, this would be a fantastic opportunity for you. A lucrative salary of 37K – 40K plus15% OTE awaits.Area Sales Manager M62 Corridor

  • Full time, permanent
  • £37,000 - £40,000 depending on experience + 15% OTE
  • Proven experience in field sales required
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Experience in plumbing, heating or associated sectors desirable

We care deeply about what we do and pride ourselves on exceptional customer service.We are currently recruiting a motivated and ambitious Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic and professional sales team.Covering the M62 corridor, you will be working closely with the Commercial Director to grow and develop core customer accounts within your area, in what is the second phase of the company’s regional sales strategy.Areas covered include:
  • Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside, Hull and Humber, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire
  • The following postal regions: L, WA, WN, PR, M, BL, BB, BD, HX, HD, WF, LS, HG, DN, YO, HU, S, OL, SK
Please note: You will also attend and participate in monthly sales meetings in Welwyn Garden CityBenefits:

About the role:Offering an attractive salary of 37K – 40K depending on experience, plus 15% OTE, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in field sales. Experience within the plumbing, heating or associated sectors is desirable but not essential. You will be required to achieve your own monthly target, whilst collaborating with the wider sales teamto positively influence the company sales performance.Key accountabilities:
  • Grow sales with newly established customers.
  • Identify, approach and secure new customers within your area to maximise sales routes
  • Build customer relationships to win profitable business and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the office-based sales team to fulfil customer sales and enquiries
  • Accurately record all customer data on the internal CRM system
  • Work with Barco’s product profile to maximise margins whilst meeting customers’ needs.
  • Monitor and feedback on competitor activity
  • Plan routes for the most advantageous area coverage
  • Attend and participate in monthly sales meetings in Welwyn Garden City
About you:Personable, dynamic and professional, you will bring a proven track record in sales, showcasing exceptional sales and negotiation skills.Your experience includes successfully building and maintaining customer relationships, underpinned by excellent communication and numerical skills.You will also possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Proficient in analysing sales and customer data, with excellent IT skills covering Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems.
  • A proven ability to work towards personal and company KPIs, with a commitment to delivering results.
  • High level of self-motivation and organisation, with the ability to work remotely.
  • Strong team player, recognised for going the extra mile to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and show initiative
  • Enthusiastic about continuous learning and committed to increasing product and market knowledge through ongoing training.
  • Passionate about the business and its values, embodying core attributes that drive success.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
