Job Description

Area Sales Manager required to work a Southern Region Territory Excellent Salary and Bonus. It is a remote job with occasional office visits. The head office is in Sheffield.The customer is seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven Individual with a proven engineering sales background Ideally from within the Surface Preparation Industry but not essential. The candidate will manage the Southern region of the UK, with occasionalvisits to our head office in Sheffield. Establishing new business is a crucial part of the role whilst maintaining our existing customers and providing an outstanding level of service. You will work as part of a sales team supported by product specialists,internal sales, and all other departments within the business.Responsibilities

    • Manage Region and establish new business while maintaining your existing customer base.
    • Identify new sales opportunities to expand your customer base
    • Manage customer margins and pricing
    • Customer site visits
    • Provide Technical Sales support on the companys entire range of products, abrasives, and aftermarket services
    • Build effective relationships with Internal Sales, Engineering, and Aftermarket teams and all other departments
    • Produce monthly sales reports and updates on potential orders.
    • Attend company sales meeting
    • Create a detailed log of your sales, to measure increases in account spends
    • Maintain all customer records through the company CRM system
    • General sales and technical support-related duties, as necessary to carry out your job.
Qualifications
    • Must demonstrate competency with Microsoft packages of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and overall IT skills.
    • Proven track record of establishing, developing, and maintaining a territory
    • Experience in external sales, good listening skills, selling on benefits, features and adding value, overcoming objections whilst understanding the customers requirements
    • A proactive approach to enhancing product knowledge, time management, sales presentations, and other professional sales skills to enable personal development.
